Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am pleased to invite you to the VII International Symposium on Mineral Nutrition of Fruit Crops, which will be held in Asia for the first time. The main part of the Symposium will take place at Maneechan Resort in Chanthaburi, Thailand during 21-25 May 2012. During the Symposium, attendances will also have an opportunity join a field trip to local fruit orchards in Chanthaburi, an important fruit-growing district in Southeast Asia.  Those who are interested in a more comprehensive look of the fruit industry in Thailand can choose to join the optional pre-symposium technical tour to be held during 18-21 May 2012.  The pre-symposium tour will take participants to a number of commercial orchards in Northeastern and Eastern Thailand as well as a few cultural attractions.

The objective of the Symposium is to provide an opportunity for scientists, professionals and students to present their latest findings and discuss their works on mineral nutrition of fruit crops.  Key subjects of discussion include impacts of mineral nutrition on quantity, quality, safety and nutrition of fruit crops.  We hope the meeting will promote the exchange of ideas and international collaborations among researchers and people associated with fruit crops around the world.

Participants will also enjoy the famous Thai warmth and hospitality during entire event.

I very much look forward to welcoming you at the VII International Symposium on Mineral Nutrition of Fruit Crops in Chanthaburi in 2012. Further information about the event can be found on the
